Did You Know…
That there is a tattoo that isn’t permanent and painless? Well, you’re in for a surprise then! Henna tattoos have been around for centuries. This dye was extremely popular in the 16th century in North India and Pakistan as a body decoration for weddings. This tradition is still carried on today throughout the Middle East and has morphed into an awesome alternative to permanent, need-surgery-to-get-rid-of, painful tattoos. No needles, no pain, but perfectly good tattoos. J And that’s the end for today’s history lesson. Now on to the fun stuff…Henna tattoos are going to be offered on July 30th at the YA Summer Reading Wrap Up Party! The winners of the mp3 player drawing are also going to be announced that day. To be eligible for this prize you must have dutifully read your 5 library books and written reviews that can be turned into the YA coordinator, Tina. Hurry up if you haven’t! Time’s running out!
